How is this different from regular SEO?
SEO gets you ranking in the list of links. AI Search Optimization gets you quoted inside the answer the engine writes, which is a different mechanism. It depends on entity clarity, structured data, and source authority more than on classic ranking factors. The two reinforce each other, but a top ranking does not guarantee the AI will cite you.
